Welcome to my Blog!
I'm a teenager with a passion for dance and a passion for writing! In this blog I intend to bring them together by documenting my journey as a pre-professional dancer, as well as conducting interviews with professionals in the industry and fellow dance students. I hope that this blog can be a point of reference and a source of entertainment for dancers following this same winding path, as well as those who are just interested in the mysterious world of pre-professional ballet!
The idea for this blog was first planted in my mind in January of 2016, when I was going to New York City with my dance teacher for summer intensive auditions. It was my first time going to New York City, and I didn't want to forget a thing, so I brought along a journal, in which I documented the trip. After seeing me writing, my teacher suggested to me that I start a blog. I thought it was a great idea, but just never did it.
Now, a year and a half later, after a suggestion from my awesome mom while we were on a subway ride,I have decided to finally give it a try! I hope you enjoy my blog! If you have any suggestions or questions, don't be afraid to contact me!
I train under an ABT Affiliated teacher and have passed levels 5a, 5b, and 6 of the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. I attended ABT Summer Intensive in North Carolina in 2016 and Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive in New York City in 2017. I spent extensive time training a Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway during the the summer of 2018.
